The Computer Architecture Group is again present at the International Supercomputing Conference (ISC) in Dresden, Germany. Research projects and developments both of the Computer Architecture Group and of the HyperTransport Center of Excellence (HTCE) will be shown in booth B19-B22, which is jointly operated by AMD and the Computer Architecture Group.

On the 15th February the offical dedication ceremony took place in which the Institute of Computer Engineering has finally moved from the University of Mannheim to the University of Heidelberg.

The Research Partner Agreement between Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) and the Computer Architecture Group (CAG) at the University of Mannheim was signed. The CAG will operate a Center of Excellence for research on HyperTransport technology.

The first press release ( pdf-version) reports about the joining of two prestigious Academic Institutions, one of them is the Computer Architecture Group of the University of Mannheim. The second press release (pdf-version) reports in detail about our current project, the HTX-BOARD, which is a reference design within the Hypertransport Consortium.
